This small collection is comprised of a program for a gala honoring Charles A. Lindbergh held at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, France, May 27, 1927. The program is in French but has a handwritten inscription from Lindbergh in English: "Cordial greetings to the Aviators of France. Charles A. Lindbergh." The evé Martinez-Petrut Eastern Airlines Flight Attendant Collection is quite small. The collection contains a November 1958 Eastern Airlines (EA) flight attendant diploma for Martinez, including a black-and-white 8x10" group portrait of the graduating class and a program and menu for the graduation event. Abstract
Richard J. McWhorter (1921-2007) was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho and had a long standing and multi-faceted interest in aviation, including owning and restoring vintage airplanes. The collection includes manuscript materials, ephemera, audio-visual materials, and approximately three hundred (300) photographs documenting the restoration of a Stearman C-3B (#NC7550), on display at The Museum of Flight, as well as a Stearman C-3R (#NC656K).
